Full day in Ribe. Started with a morning walk thro

Full day in Ribe. Started with a morning walk through silent streets and a visit to the beautiful graveyard where all was green and flowers. On a tombstone it read “Only a thought away” and the line stuck with me all day. Maybe death doesn’t have to be more dramatic than that.

A visit to the Viking museum was interesting and I learned that they had great teeth and less great sneakers.

Ribe, I think it’s correct to say it’s the old

Ribe, I think it’s correct to say it’s the oldest town in Denmark and maybe in the Nordic countries. To be consistent I’m also staying in the oldest hotel 🙂

Got the tip from my vagabond brother and I understand why he likes it so much. I arrived in drizzling rain but it turned into a beautiful afternoon and evening. I’ve been walking around on cobblestone streets collecting the atmosphere.

I had a Danish beer and it had a strange effect on me. Suddenly I felt I could do the strangest things. Like dance my way to the dentist, ride a rollercoaster or go bungee jumping. From now on I’ll have water.
